Senhouse Museum

Dramatically sited on cliffs overlooking the Solway Firth, this award winning museum is next to a Roman fort probably founded in the first century AD and rebuilt during the reign of the emperor Hadrian.

The Senhouse Musuem is located a short distance from the Maryport Maritime Museum

Opening Times

April to October: Tues, Thurs, Fri, Sat & Sun 10.30am to 5pm.

November to March: Fri, Sat & Sun 10.30am to 4pm.

We apologise that the Museum is temporarily closed as a precaution against Coronavirus.  There have been no cases in the vicinity but, as most of our volunteers are retired and some have health issues, it does not seem fair to ask them to take any risk of infection, however small.   Please check this website for further information.  Thank you for your understanding.

Child £1.00 (Child under 18 must be accompanied by an adult)
Family £7.00

Group visits:  Adult £2.50, advance booking required
Harbour tours:  By arrangement
School visits:  By arrangement.

Free admission to CA15 residents*
